Re: 2016-2017 Pre-season Poll
AHhhhhhhhhhh! Another terrible season? Can we at least make the Summitt League tourney? Is that asking too much?

Re: vs Oak Hills Christian
Whoppi! So we play a big time hoops school like K-State and get killed and then turn around and play a small fry program and kill them. What exactly are we learning and who is putting together this schedule?

Re: Kansas St.
Covington 2 points in second half once they started doubling him.
That big second string center of ours showed a little something. Snyder.
Otherwise...just the expected beat down.
Very discouraging.

Play the young bigs
Play the young bigs...It's all we have left to shoot for this season.
Keep them in the game.
Lately, we have been sacrificing Gelback's minutes for a (very slight) chance at victory.
I mean, we have to develop this kid, no?

The Loss at Loyola
The two-game Chicago foray has to be considered an empty trip on the surface, but the final five minutes or so of the loss to Loyola (on the heels of a defeat at the hands of Chicago State) was, at least, entertaining. The 'Necks were chopped down by the Ramblers 72-67, but not until they crawled ou...

Re: Iowa Game
Necks 2003 is right.
Our guys acted like they belonged, when in fact, it behooved them to PROVE they belonged.

Iowa observations
On the Iowa game: Seemed like WIU guys thought they were still playing Silver Lake. Absolutely no deference given to the superior athletes they were playing. Pass after pass made by WIU that was within reach of a primed and alert defender and oft-times stolen because of seeming lack of awareness tha...

Re: The Wright Stuff....first post ... I waited until Decemb
Totally agree. That last bit about the selection committee was meant to be tongue in cheek. Since I made my living as a writer, I hate using lol. If people can't guess that I'm kidding, I'm obviously not being clear enough. My bad.
I like your posts, by the way.

The Wright Stuff....first post ... I waited until December
This is already a better season than the last two. Holy crap, a win against Wisconsin. I missed the game on TV because I was at a music concert and my phone is buzzing in my pocket the last half of the concert. Four messages from friends about the Wisconsin win. So I watched the replay that night an...

Re: Season Opener at Wisconsin
Congratulations to coach Wright and WIU. Best win ever in WIU history, regardless of sport. I've been watching Leatherneck hoops since 1969. Very, very happy. Very.
